A Message from the President of the Interamerican Society of Psychology: Dr. Maria Regina Maluf
For those psychologists in the Americas who regularly participate in the Interamerican Congresses of Psychology organized by SIP, it is now time to prepare for the XXXIII Congress. The city of Medellin, Colombia, is preparing itself to receive all of those who will attend this important event, which will take place from June 26-30, 2011.
This will be the second Interamerican Congress of Psychology to be celebrated in Colombia. In 1974, the XV Congress was held in Bogota’, including 2,800 participants, quite a high number for that time.
The XXXIII Congress has as a theme: “For the health of the people: Psychology Committed to Social Transformation.” It will be an excellent opportunity to develop scientific and professional relationships; to learn about and to present research, programs of intervention and other services of relevance to Psychology in the Americas; to come to know the richness and cultural diversity of the host country.
We call psychologists, students and professionals to present their work and to attend the Congress.
The official languages for the conference are Spanish, English, Portuguese, and French.
In the name of the Colombian Organizing Commission and of the Interamerican Society of Psychology, I bid you welcome, benvindos, bienvenidos, bienvenus.
